Not only does this affect our bodies and minds, but it can negatively impact our work performance, relationships with others, and ability to be present with those around us. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week, evidence-based program designed to instruct participants in mindfulness meditation for stress reduction and improved overall well-being. This course will guide you on your journey towards self-care.  Participants will engage in a variety of guided practices, self-reflection exercises, group discussion, home practices, and an optional half-day silent retreat.  Each participant will be encouraged to develop a home-based practice with support from class and available audio recordings. You will learn how to use your focused attention to tune into your body, calm your mind, regulate your nervous system, and establish a deeper connection with yourself. Using this awareness, participants will learn how to implement effective tools and techniques to mindfully approach stress, anxiety, fear, pain, illness, relationships, and the continual demands of everyday life. This course is designed to meet the needs of each individual on their mindfulness journey, and all levels and experience are welcome and encouraged to join. We ask that you commit to attending all classes to the best of your ability, and hope you take this opportunity to discover how mindfulness can positively affect the quality of your everyday life!  Anderson Cooper: 60 Minutes Special on Mindfulness / MBSR - YouTube(12 min video) Class Structure:  All materials provided for each class  Open to all experience levels (beginner to experienced)  Class sizes are limited  Class ScheduleTue, April 23      OrientationTue, April 30      Week #1 Tue, May 7        Week #2             Tue, May 14      Week #3Tue, May 21      Week #4Tue, May 28      Week #5Sun, June 2       Mini-Retreat (9am-2pm)Tue, June 4       Week #6Tue, June 11     Week #7Tue, June 18     Week #8

3:30 PM - 4:30 PM    Kids Test Kitchen - Spring24 Session 2
Kids’ Test Kitchen is on a mission to get young eaters cooking, tasting, and thinking about healthy ingredients! Let’s continue to redefine kid food; one lesson, and one child at a time! Each class presents students with an opportunity to explore new or familiar foods in their raw, un-manipulated state. Then, working as a team, we’ll slice, dice, peel, measure, and cook until we’ve prepared the finished dish. Lessons are planned to celebrate seasonal produce – warm you on a brisk Fall day and offer ideas for quick and healthy family meals. At the end of class your aspiring chef will receive the main ingredient, or a sample of the finished dish, and the recipe so that they can show off what they’ve learned! Even the most reluctant eaters enjoy KTK, where participation is encouraged, and the choice to taste is always one's own.  Lessons are planned to celebrate seasonal produce, whole grains, and legumes. Kids have food allergies, but they shouldn’t miss out on the fun. We know allergies and can work around them, making sure that everyone is having fun and staying safe. *Please clearly disclose all food allergies and/or dietary restrictions upon registration. www.facebook.com/kidstestkitchen/
