Description:
Deciding when your child is ready to stay home alone is a big step, and preparation can make all the difference. Our Home Alone Safety program is designed to ease this transition while fostering self-confidence, responsibility, and sound decision-making skills in your child.
Whether your child is gearing up for their first time alone at home or already has some experience, our course covers essential topics beyond just screen time, including expectations, emergency procedures, and creating a safe environment.
Through engaging activities, discussions, and role-playing, participants will learn basic safety guidelines in a fun and interactive way. Topics include building confidence and readiness, effective communication, securing the home, handling emergencies, and much more.
Guidebooks and parent handouts will be provided beforehand, ensuring families have the resources they need to create safe environments and emergency action plans. Built into the end of the workshop is a 20 minute Q&A.
