SUMMER VACATION 2021 “TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS”

For Kids Grades K – 6

Welcome back to another summer vacation in Stoneham!
This summer in Stoneham is going to be a lot of fun for many kids.  In all our action-packed weeks, kids will participate in a variety of games, such as street hockey, soccer, football, battleship, four corners, dodgeball, basketball and many others during our fun-filled week. In addition to learning the fundamentals of these sports, we will have exciting discussions about current events in sports, good sportsmanship and understanding the cool statistics on sports cards.  Each participant will receive a daily pack of cards as a major prize. These prizes help emphasize value and are a fun way to enhance learning! 

For this special Summer Vacation Program, all kids will be divided into their proper age groups upon arrival. Kids will get a chance to play against their friends in friendly competition. 

NEW THEMED WEEKS!

WEEK 1: June 21st – June 25th (Welcome to Summer)
Welcome to the start of summer vacation. This week will serve as an introduction to some of our popular games and themes. We will play all our traditional favorite games in our Tournament of Champions format! Come enjoy the start of summer with all your friends and classmates!
WEEK 2: June 28th - July 2nd (Stars and Stripes Week)
Celebrate America during this week by participating in patriotic activities!
WEEK 3: July 5th - July 9th (New England Patriots/Football Week)
All things Patriots for the week!  We will talk about some great games, moments, and offer a special Patriots prize to a lucky child at the end of the week.  Kids are welcome to share their special prizes with the group throughout the week for a chance at a Patriots prize!
WEEK 4: July 12th - July 16th (Cartoon week)
Our Cartoon Network themed games are back again this summer with some new and exciting twists. Kids are encouraged but not required to wear their favorite cartoon shirt/hat. Competitions this week will include themed games involving Ninja Turtles, Looney Tunes, SpongeBob, Rugrats, Power Rangers, and many others!
WEEK 5: July 19th - July 23rd (Boston Bruins Week)
Our theme this week is based on all things Boston Bruins.  We will be playing tournament style games of floor hockey.  We will talk about some great games, moments, and offer a special Bruins prize to a lucky child at the end of the week.  Kids are welcome to share their special prizes with the group throughout the week for a chance at a Bruins prize! *All equipment is provided by SZ101*
 WEEK 6:  July 26th – July 30th (Disney Week)
Our theme this week is all things Disney.  We will play some of our favorite games themed towards movies and characters from Disney.  During this week, kids are encouraged to wear their favorite Disney related t-shirts. We look forward to awarding one of our kids with a special reward geared toward Disney at the conclusion of our week!
WEEK 7: August 2nd – August 6th (Action Hero Week)
This week of games and competitions will feature some of the kid’s favorite action heroes.  Games this week will include special elements involving characters such as Spiderman, Superman, Batman, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Wonder Woman, Bumble Bee, and others.  Can you help be one of the heroes in our games this week?  Calling all action heroes to this week of SZ101 fun!
Week 8: August 9th – August 13th (Kids vs. Coaches)
This week the kids will participate in fun games against our coaches.  Competitions will include many of our favorite games in tournament style format.  Kids will get a chance to organize fair teams, make the rules, and learn how to manage/coach their friends.  Our Sports Zone staff will help guide and lead all kids when deemed necessary.
Week 9: August 16th – August 20th (Nerf Wars Week)
This week we will be running our Nerf Wars as a FULL WEEK program! Tons of Nerf themed games based around our popular SZ101 games. We will have obstacle courses, team contests and tons and tons of nerf equipment for kids to enjoy! Kids may bring their own Nerf equipment if it is labeled with their name!

Week 10: August 23rd – August 27th (Mystery Week) (End of Summer Finale)
Our theme this week is a mystery.  Come find out what our special games and activities will be. It is going to be a surprise! We also thank you all for a wonderful summer. We will play some of our favorite games as we make the transition back to the start of the school year!
